Birthday Fun

The past two weeks have been a lot of fun. Saturday, the 20th, I went to Shady Maple with a bunch of friends. Shady Maple is a smorgasbord based on Pennsylvania dutch cooking with a gigantic gift shop in the basement. We also went to a large antique shop on the way back to school which was cool to look through. The Sunday after I went on a prayer walk at a really pretty park with four friends. Basically, we were guided through the park while listening to music and Psalms being read to us through our headsets. That week I had two midterms and a project due, so I was stressed but I got A's on everything. The next weekend was (what the kids like to call) Halloweekend and homecoming here at West Chester. I attended a parade, the homecoming football game and a cru Halloween social. My friends and I dressed up as the muses from Hercules for the costume contest at the social; we didn't win. I also went to King of Prussia with my roommate and a few of our friends after church on Sunday. This past week was pretty boring. I got to go home on Monday and stay over because I had a dentist appointment Tuesday morning (no cavities!). Another highlight was getting out of physics lab early because someone in the building set the fire alarm off. Yesterday was my 20th birthday. I had a very eventful day: breakfast with a friend, classes, lunch with a group of friends, mini golf, walk in the park, dinner at a sushi restaurant, gelato for dessert, Gnomio and Juliet viewing party, and a little bit of Netflix watching before bed. Today I went to iHop with a friend for breakfast after sleeping in and then my parents came and took me to Longwood Gardens and Applebees. I am so thankful for everything that has happened these past two weeks, but I am also looking forward to an easy week. There are some pictures from the past two weeks included below.
