Bathrooms and Other Things

For this post, I decided that I would talk about the biggest difference between my dorm last year at USC and my dorm this year... and that is the bathrooms! Last year, I shared a sink and mirror located in my room with one other person, and I shared a toilet and shower with three other people located between our two rooms. This year I have the pleasure (insert sarcasm here) of sharing everything with about 50 girls. Honestly, its not that bad, except when it is. What does that mean, you may ask? Well usually when I am using the provided facilities, there is no one else in there with me, however there are occasions where there are ten other people in there with me. This makes for some hectic maneuvering to get my makeup on in time for class, and some awkward occurrences where people have walked in on me showering. The good part of the bathrooms not being in my room is that it forces me to walk by a whole bunch of people who I definitely would never communicate with if I was not being forced to. I would not say that this has helped me make friends, but it is good to interact with other humans after being locked away in my room for hours.

In other news, I went to a Chinese place last Thursday with the other two NSE students currently studying at West Chester. One is from Rutgers and the other one is from Minnesota. They are both really nice and funny, and I wish I got their numbers so I could meet up with them again. Luckily we are going to Philadelphia in two-ish weeks with the international students here, so I am sure we will get to talk and hangout a lot in the city.

I love being so close to home. Yesterday I went home for dinner and then came back just in time for CRU's weekly meeting. Everyone keeps asking me if I am transferring here, and as much as I would love to, I know that in the long run USC is a better college for me. They have better programs specific to my major, so I will learn more and thrive more there.

I have my first test tomorrow in Physics, and I am super scared. If it goes well, I'll let you know. Have an enjoyable weekend.
